Fabric
The main body is made from 720g, 14mm rabbit-fur plush fabric from the same supply chain used for JC-style products. The manufacturing process is mature and technically straightforward.
The main cost is concentrated in the dragon wing color matching. Each wing involves seven different colors, which means seven separate custom small-batch dye lots. The additional dyeing cost alone adds several thousand RMB, not including the cost of the fabric itself. This higher-cost dyeing process is used purely to reproduce the original color details as accurately as possible.
The Sky Dragon was released in 2024 and has remained extremely popular. Since there have been many production batches, slight differences in wing colors are normal between batches. We can only reproduce the version based on the physical sample we receive, so it is not possible to match every batch of the auth version exactly.
Workmanship
The workmanship of the Sky Dragon is something returning customers can rely on. Our previous Matcha Dragon was already produced to a very high inspection-level standard. As one of our key New Year releases, this version continues the same high-standard production process, with even stronger quality control and consistency.
Filling
Although the Sky Dragon is relatively large, it is designed to have a soft, squishy, floppy feel. The body is filled with 7D short-fiber polyester filling, giving it a good balance between a defined three-dimensional shape and a soft hand feel.
The tail and legs are also precisely weighted with filling pellets, helping recreate the shape, weight distribution, and natural drape of the auth version as closely as possible.
